Michael started his artistic career in Minneapolis with a classical painting apprenticeship at Atelier Lack. In 2017, while honeymooning with his wife and business partner, Clara, they stopped for gas in Tucson, Arizona, and ended up staying for five years while completing a traditional tattoo apprenticeship followed by the journey of finding his style amongst the beauty of the Sonoran Desert. The Yribars returned to their roots and moved back to Minnesota in 2022, and joined the BlackEnd Tattoo Atelier in September 2024.

Michael specializes in American Traditional and loves ornamenting all bodies with big, bold projects just as much as he enjoys working piece by piece building you a custom patchwork collection. When Michael isn’t tattooing, you can find him painting tapestries, printmaking with his sisters, reading fantasy, and playing Barbie tattoo shop with his daughter.
